Red Bird Sky were a Birmingham based americana band formed around Bernadette Maguire and Mike Seal which operated from 2010 - 2015. They gigged across the UK and Canada. Their first album ‘Every Lesson in its Turn’, produced by Paul Millner (Eddy Grant, Keith Richards, Men Without Hats, Sting, Robert Palmer, Rush) in Canada, was released by Treetop Records in 2013.

Red Bird Sky really manage to get into the heart of the material, able to portray both the heartfelt and the dramatic.. think Gillian Welch and you'll not find yourself far off the right track. I always judge a debut album by the criteria of, 'would it cut the mustard if it was a second or third album?' Their second album ‘The Unravelling’, was prduced by Nigel Stonier (Thea Gilmore, Robert Plant, Martha Wainwright) and released by SIra Records in 2014.

They subsequently released an EP ‘Ain’t Looking Back' and a compilation ‘Cheaters, Liars and Losers’ with Nub Country Records in 2015. A final Arts Council project, ‘Singing the Unspoken’, looking at Bernies journey through Therapy, was performed in 2015.
